If you’re wondering where Santa is, have a look at the NORAD Santa Tracker.  At the time of writing, he was over Japan. I hope the rain eases off before he gets to Brisbane.

NORAD is a military organisation and the reason it has tracked Santa’s movements since 1955 is a very cute story.  It involves a child who thought they were phoning Santa, but ended up on a hotline to a military Commander-in-Chief. Who’d have thought that Rudolph’s nose would have an infrared signature that could be tracked by satellites?
