Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

We had a visitor on the weekend – a French exchange student who really wanted to see and pat a kangaroo!  The best place to do this in Brisbane is Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where they have a whole paddock full of kangaroos and wallabies. You can hand feed them and most don’t mind a pat.

We also saw some very, very cute baby koalas as well as lots of other native animals. Here’s a photo of our favourite little joey.
