Brisbane City Centre

King George Square Entertainment

I love visiting Brisbane’s central business district, especially on the weekend.

Brisbane’s CBD is full of life with lots of people shopping, meeting friends, having lunch or sipping coffee in the outdoor cafes.  A lot of the action happens in the Queen Street Mall and sometimes in nearby King George Square.

King George Square Music

King George Square was full of music on the weekend.  We arrived to see bag-pipers in full kilts and full drone. Not long after a big band took over and two giant puppets danced into the square. They posed for photos and jived to the music.

Nearby in the Queen Street Mall there was musical entertainment on the main stage and a jazz group in the lower mall.

So if you’re not sure what to do on the weekend, head into the CBD and you’ll be entertained for free. Have a look at the Queen Street Mall’s website to see what’s coming up.
