Brisbane’s floating walkway, often called the Riverwalk, which was washed away in this year’s floods will be replaced. Take a look at a very brave tugboat skipper guiding a large chunk of the Riverwalk down the river after it broke off.
We should all be able to walk, run, scoot and cycle at river level from New Farm into the city again by mid-2014. There are five design concepts for the new Riverwalk and the preferred design concept will be announced in late 2011.
The cost estimates range from $56 million to $141.7 million. Which design option do you prefer?
